From Cologne in 1984 to Abu Dhabi in 2026, the European Arab Medical Congress has spent four decades building a transcontinental bridge between European and Arab medicine — convening across thirty-six editions in the great medical capitals of two regions. Today, in its third Abu Dhabi edition, the Congress extends that bridge across the wider MENA region.
This year EAMC convenes under the theme Advancing Mental Health and Rehabilitation for Sustainable Wellbeing, in full alignment with the UAE's Year of Family.

Sustainable care, resilient families, and wellbeing as a shared societal investment.
Mental health and rehabilitation are lifelong journeys. Sustainable care builds systems and therapies that endure — embedding wellbeing into the everyday fabric of health systems, workplaces and communities.
In alignment with the UAE's Year of Family, EAMC recognises that recovery rarely happens in isolation. Families shape outcomes — so caregiver wellbeing and family-centred care sit at the centre.
Mental health framed as a shared societal investment — economically vital, socially essential, and central to inclusive, future-ready communities. A natural home for ESG commitment.

EAMC 2026 carries forward the values of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities — inclusion, dignity and equal opportunity — into every day of the Congress. In partnership with the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, the programme moves from awareness to genuine participation, placing People of Determination at the centre of the conversation rather than at its margins.
