Dr. Asma Ben Houidi is a Consultant Psychiatrist at the American Center for Psychiatry and Neurology (ACPN) in the UAE. A graduate of the Faculté de Médecine de Tunis (2009), she completed her psychiatry residency at Al Razi Hospital in Tunisia and Le Vinatier Hospital in France. She holds a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychiatry, along with diplomas in Perinatal Psychiatry, Child Development, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Addictology. With over a decade of international clinical experience, Dr. Ben Houidi brings a multicultural perspective to psychiatric care, having practiced in Tunisia, France, and the UAE. Beyond clinical work, she is actively involved in teaching, research, and mental health advocacy, with contributions to international journals and regional awareness initiatives. Her approach is integrative, combining medication, psychotherapy, and social support to deliver patient-centered care. She currently leads the LAI (Long-Acting Injectable) Clinic at ACPN—the first of its kind in the region—and volunteers as Clinical Director for Special Olympics UAE.
