Dr. Elvira Symaniuk, Director of the Ural Institute of Humanities and Head of the Department of General and Social Psychology at Ural Federal University, is a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and a leading expert in educational and developmental psychology. With a Scopus h-index of 7, she is recognized for her groundbreaking research on the psychological and pedagogical foundations of professional self-determination, personality development, and teacher professional crises. Her work has led to innovative models for professional orientation, teacher development, and overcoming psychological barriers, widely implemented across educational institutions in Russia. Dr. Symaniuk also pioneers research on professional development in late maturity, focusing on well-being, motivation, and professional longevity. As an author of numerous monographs and scientific papers, she actively collaborates with the Ministry of Education to train educators, prevent burnout, and enhance psychological support systems. Under her leadership, Ural Federal University has expanded its psychology and pedagogy programs, launching innovative bachelor’s and master’s degrees, including specializations in clinical psychology, digital pedagogy, and educational leadership.
