About Dr. Tatiana Tomenko
Tatiana Tomenko, neuropediatrician, neurophysiologist, PhD, President and Founder of the Ural Association of Epileptologists, Head of the Laboratory of Cognitive Behavioral Research at Ural Federal University, Head of the Center for Brain Dysfunction and Epilepsy at the European Medical Center UMMC-Health, Assistant Professor at the Department of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Medical Genetics at Ural Medical University. Dr. Tomenko defended her PhD thesis under the supervision of Professor Mukhin K. (Moscow, Russia) in 2008. As a practicing physician, Tatiana treats children with various forms of epilepsy, epileptic encephalopathies, and different genetic diseases. For the first time, Dr. Tomenko organized the introduction of the ketogenic diet and vagus stimulator treatment in the Ural region. Tatiana Tomenko is the main organizer of the annual epileptology conference in the Urals. She participates at international and regional conferences, and teaches doctors, psychologists and students. Tatiana is currently working on a research project on the topic of clinical and genetic correlations of photosensitive epilepsy.
