Dr Victoria Mountford, BA(Hons), DClinPsy, is Lead Clinical Psychologist and Eating Disorder Service Lead at Sage Clinics in Dubai. She combines her clinical work with research and teaching. She has over twenty years’ experience of working with individuals with eating disorders and body image concerns and their families. She was part of the founding team who developed FREED, the first early intervention eating disorder service in the UK. She is a supervisor and lecturer on the MANTRA training course. She has published widely, including three books Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for the Eating Disorders: A Comprehensive Treatment Guide (2007), Beating Your Eating Disorder: A Cognitive-Behavioural Self Help Guide for Adult Sufferers and their Carers (2010) and Brief Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Non-Underweight Patients: CBT-T for Eating Disorders (2019). Her research interests include early intervention, body image and cognitive behaviour therapy. In 2020 she was jointly awarded the Outstanding Clinician Award by the Academy of Eating Disorders.
