About Prof. Francesca Rubulotta
Prof. Francesca Rubulotta is an internationally recognized expert in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine (ICM) with over 20 years of clinical, academic, and leadership experience. She completed her medical degree with distinction in Italy and trained across Italy, the USA, the Netherlands, and Belgium, obtaining specializations in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine, a PhD in Medicine from the University of Catania, and an Executive MBA from Imperial College Business School, London. She has served as the inaugural Chair of the Department of Critical Care Medicine at McGill University, Canada, and previously held senior roles at Imperial College London and the NHS. Prof. Rubulotta has contributed extensively to research, education, and innovation, chairing several international initiatives, including the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine’s Division of Professional Development and the CoBaTrICE project. She is the founding member of the International Women in Critical Care Network (iWIN ETS), an active congress organizer, and a widely published author in critical care, leadership, and ethics. A frequent keynote speaker at global conferences, she has received multiple prestigious awards, including the Women of the Year Award (2021) and Creative Women Ambassador Award (2021)
